Which Jabra or Plantronics wireless headset can I use with my Avaya / Lucent phone?

All Jabra and Plantronics wireless headsets are compatible with Avaya phones including the Motion Office, Legend CS, and GN Pro920. The trick is to know which accessory you'll need for your specific Avaya/Lucent phone if any. Both Plantronics and Jabra have various accessories for wireless headsets that correspond to different Avaya and Lucent phones.  Below you will find a sample of wireless headsets that are compatible with Avaya and Lucent phones.

Remote Answering

When using a wireless headset the most frequently asked question is; "How can I answer calls, with the wireless headset, while roaming the office?" If you want to answer calls (from the headset) while roaming the office you'll need an additional accessory.  This accessory is typically referred to as a "remote lifter".  The remote lifter is a mechanical device that will work across most Avaya and Lucent phones if you are able to talk when getting an incoming call when picking up the handset off the phone. With newer Avaya phones the process is more seamless and integrated because of the ability to take advantage of Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) capabilities.
